Girl Security and the Texas National Security Review have launched a Global Essay Contest. The 2022 question is "How has identity shaped and affected global policy and international security? How do you believe identity should inform global policy and international security moving forward?" Essays should range in length from 1800-4000 words including citations. Open to students anywhere worldwide. Winning essays will receive cash prizes and winners would be considered for publication with Texas National Security Review.

German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarship

The International Parliamentary Scholarship at the German Bundestag gives young professionals the opportunity to experience how the German Parliament works over the course of five months, with three of these spent working in a Member's office. The programme runs each year from 1 March to 31 July. The scholarship includes a monthly payment of 500 Euro, free accommodation, and health, accident and liability insurance. It also covers the cost of travel to and from Berlin. Must have a University degree, very good knowledge of the German language, and be under 30 years old at the start of the scholarship.

Tanaka and Green Academic Scholarships for Study Abroad in Japan

The Tanaka and Green Academic Scholarships support short-term academic study (one semester or one academic year) at colleges and universities in Japan. The Japan-American Society will give up to $5,000 for one academic year and up to $4,000 for one academic semester for the 2022-2023 academic year. The scholarship may be used for any combination of tuition and other academic fees, room and board, travel and transportation (including travel within Japan), and other approved expenses. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the US, prove acceptance into a college or university in Japan as a full-time foreign exchange student, intend to return to the college or university in the US, and be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
