The Center for a New American Security wants to elevate emerging and diverse voices in national security. Selected applicants will make their pitch for innovative policy ideas to renew American competitiveness in front of a panel of judges and live studio audience. To be eligible, applicants must be between 25 and 35 years old (as of June 15, 2021) and be available to present their pitch virtually at CNAS' 2021 National Security Conference.

Remote Internships with Stipend, Center for a New American Security

The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) is accepting applications for its Joseph S. Nye Internship program. Candidates may apply for research, communications or development internships. Research Interns work directly with specific programs including Regions and States (Middle East Security, Asia-Pacific Security, and Transatlantic Security); Energy, Economics, and Security; Military, Veterans, and Society; Technology and National Security; and Defense. Each internship is for six months. The CNAS office is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, all interns are expected to work remotely until further notice. Interns are compensated with a modest stipend of $1,500 a month.

Diverse International Women of Color Summer 2021 Scholarship

Diverse International Women of Color (DIWC) believes the lack of funds should not be an obstacle for a student to achieve their study abroad goal. This scholarship is intended to assist women of color who are exceptional in their studies and in need of financial assistance to study abroad. DIWC will award five $500 scholarships to women of color who have been accepted to an In-Person Summer 2021 Study Abroad Program. DIWC will award two $250 scholarships to women of color who have been accepted to a Virtual 2021 Study Abroad Program.
