The fair, to be held Tuesday, September 12, will convene undergraduate students and mid-career professionals for a panel discussion that will assess U.S. foreign policy under Donald J. Trump’s administration and its effect on the international order and the U.S. alliance system.

Call for Applications for Fellowship Program "The Living Legacy of the First World War"

Carnegie Council is creating up to 10 fellowships to conduct projects involving original research, approaches, or methods on the American experience in the First World War and its impact and relevance in the modern world. To apply, please submit a research proposal (1,000 words or fewer), curriculum vitae, and two references to by Friday, September 15, 2017.

Carnegie Council has pulled excerpts from some of our most relevant primary sources and recent lectures for use in the social studies classroom. Each excerpt is in .doc form for easy teacher modifications. We have also provided the full transcript for each document for better context of the authors' arguments.

The Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program is now accepting applications for the 2018 Fellowship. The Rangel Graduate Fellowship is a U.S. Department of State program, administered by Howard University that seeks to attract and prepare outstanding young people for careers as Foreign Service Officers in the U.S. Department of State. Candidates must be graduating seniors or college graduates with strong academic records and a desire to promote positive change in the world. The program encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women and those with financial need. Applicants with any undergraduate major are welcome to apply. Selected fellows will receive support for graduate school and will enter into exciting and rewarding careers representing the United States overseas.

Dr. Corinne Blake, Faculty Advisor of the Year, 2017

We are delighted to announce this year's Faculty Advisor award goes to Dr. Corinne Blake, Associate Professor of history, Rowan University.

Without equivocation, we can claim Dr. Blake has been among the most active, positive, and engaged advisors in the Society. Beyond initiating her Chapter's formation, we have be impressed by her commitment - from encouraging students to seek to publish their work in SIR journals, to having a custom-made cake for her SIR inductees!
