American Political Science Association Ralph Bunche Summer Institute

The Ralph Bunche Summer Institute Program is an annual, intensive five-week program held at Duke University. The program is designed to introduce aspiring political scientists to the world of doctoral study. Applicants must be a US citizen, US national, US permanent resident, or DACA and a member of one of the following groups: African Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, Latinos/as, American Indians or Alaska natives, and Native Hawaiians, or an individual who is interested in broadening participation in political science by students from underrepresented minority populations and pursuing scholarship on issues affecting underrepresented groups or issues of tribal sovereignty and governance, must be college/university junior with an interest in teaching and potential for research in political science.

The Phi Beta Kappa Society invites applications for the Key into Public Service undergraduate scholarship program. The $5,000 award and educational conference experience connects promising arts and sciences students with opportunities in local, state, and federal government. They seek applications from well-rounded arts, humanities, mathematics, natural sciences, and social sciences students attending an institution that hosts a Phi Beta Kappa chapter who possess an overall GPA of 3.5+ with an anticipated graduation date of Fall/Winter 2023 through Spring 2025. Membership in Phi Beta Kappa is not required. Characteristics of ideal recipients include intellectual curiosity, interdisciplinary breadth and depth of arts and sciences coursework, leadership propensity, and service to others.
