American Economics Association Summer Training and Scholarship Program

The AEA Summer Training Program and Scholarship Program seeks to increase diversity in the field of economics by preparing talented undergraduates for doctoral programs in economics and related disciplines. Students develop and solidify technical skills in preparation for the rigors of graduate studies. All students receive 2 months of intensive training in microeconomics, math, econometrics and research methods with leading faculty. At 3 credits per class, students have the opportunity to earn 12 credits.

The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship provides recent college alumni with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of peace and security. Individuals to spend six to nine months in Washington. Supported by a salary, the fellows serve as full-time junior staff members at the participating organization of their choice.

OECD Young Associates Programme

Deadline: Sunday, December 19, 2021 

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Young Associates Programme is a two-year programme targeted at recent undergraduates who wish to gain their first professional experience in the world of multilateral policymaking, research, and analysis. It is designed to act as a springboard for them to future postgraduate study. To be eligible, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in the academic field related to the position(s) of interest, hold a nationality of an OECD Member country, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, show evidence of being able to work constructively in a team, have fluency in English and/or French and a commitment to reach a good working level of the other, be able to start the Programme in September 2022 for the two-year assignment. Applications from candidates who already hold or are enrolled in a Master’s, PhD, or equivalent will not be considered.

ROLLING: Paid Internship with the Center for a New American Security in DC

The Center for a New American Security is seeking candidates for the Joseph S. Nye, Jr. National Security Program, a six-month internship involving policy research, writing, exposure to national policy debates and decision-makers, and professional development. CNAS offers full-time (40 hrs/week) internships for a six-month term. Interns are given a $75 per month transportation stipend and a stipend of $1,900 per month intended to help cover daily expenses incurred during the internship.
