The Library of Congress Junior Fellows Summer Intern Program enables students to experience the collections and services of the world's largest, all-inclusive library. Working under the direction of Library curators and specialists in various divisions, fellows explore digital initiatives and increase access to the institution’s unparalleled collections and resources. Call for Student Papers: U.S.-Japan Alliance

Deadline: Wednesday, November 24, 2021

Young Japanese and American leaders between the ages of 21 and 29 are invited to submit proposals that discuss specific issue-areas in US-Japan relations. To apply, please submit an abstract of no more than 300 words describing the US and/or Japanese perspective on the Alliance over the past 60 years. An honorarium of US $1,000 each will be provided to the top six authors whose work will be published in an edited volume.

Stevens Initiative Grants for Virtual Exchange

The Stevens Initiative brings young people from diverse places together to collaborate and connect through everyday technology. Created in 2015 as a lasting tribute to Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, the Initiative invests in virtual exchange programs between the US and the Middle East and North Africa region; shares research, resources, and promising practices to improve impact; and advocates for broader adoption.

HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities) Hungry for Education Scholarships

Deadline: Friday, November 19, 2021 

Students at HACU institutions can apply for one of five ($2,000) Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarships. Students must be a full or part-time student attending a two-year or four-year HACU-member institution, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, and be a citizen or permanent resident of the US. Open to all majors. Applicants must submit a 500-word essay about how Denny's can help bring communities together.
