GAO Undergraduate Student Analyst Trainee

Deadline: Friday, October 1, 2021 OR when 500 applications have been received (whichever comes first). 

The General Accounting Office seeks undergraduates to work as student trainee analysts in Los Angeles (CA), Oakland (CA), Denver (CO), DC, Atlanta (GA), Chicago (IL), Boston (MA), Norfolk (VA), and Seattle (WA). Anticipated start date is January 2022. Trainees learn how to conduct federal audits and program evaluations and apply that knowledge as part of a team. They assist GAO analysts in planning and conducting in-depth reviews of executive and legislative branch programs, collecting appropriate data, analyzing the data, developing data-based findings and conclusions, and presenting the information both orally and in writing to diverse audiences.
