Gilman Scholarship for Virtual and In Person Study Abroad

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, thereby gaining skills critical to our national security and economic competitiveness. The Gilman Scholarship Program is open to US citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide. The October 2021 Deadline application is for applicants who’s in-person programs or internships start between December 1, 2021, to October 31, 2022. Virtual programs will be eligible through Summer 2022.

Rangel Graduate Fellowship Program

Deadline: Wednesday, September 29, 2021 

The Charles B. Rangel Fellowship is a U.S. Department of State program created to attract diverse talent to its Foreign Service. The program encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and those with financial need. Selected fellows will receive support for graduate school, internships, and professional development. Applicants must be college seniors or graduates, can come from any academic discipline and must be seeking entry into graduate school in fall 2022. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher. US Citizens.

ISF Congressional Policy Internship

Deadline: Monday, September 27, 2021 

Islamic Scholarship Fund Interns spend a semester on Capitol Hill working for a member of Congress where they will observe the legislative process at the federal level, develop research skills related to public policy, and assist full-time staff with their duties. The Program aims to expose American Muslim students to the privileges and responsibilities of working in the halls of Capitol Hill and inspire a new generation of American Muslim policymakers. Participants receive a monthly stipend. The internship also pays for housing. Candidates should be active member of the Muslim community; enrolled at an accredited university in the US or graduated within the last year; majoring in an ISF supported major; minimum 3.0 GPA, US citizen, permanent resident or a DACA recipient, incoming junior-senior, a commitment to policy-making and public service.
