This event is a great opportunity for participants to network with recruiters to learn more about careers available in federal government agencies, including job opportunities in their industry, field of study or local area.

Hosted on Brazen, this event will use cloud-based features to connect registrants directly with hiring managers and recruiters from their home, office, smartphone or tablet. The Smithsonian Environmental Research Center offers internships for a funded project examining how global change drivers impact local biodiversity and ecosystem function in the Chesapeake Bay land and seascapes. The intern works to foster relationships with stakeholders in the region, including conservation practitioners, land and business owners, and scientists at government, non-profit, and academic institutions. Intern would be based in Edgewater, MD with the opportunity for fully in-person or hybrid (part-time virtual, part-time in-person) work. The internship will be funded for 6 months at $600/week, with the opportunity to extend up to a total of 33 weeks ($20,000 total) based on satisfactory progress.

The US Department of State Paid Student Internship Program offers US citizen students insight into the work of US foreign policy and the administration of the Department of State around the world during the Summer of 2023. Applicants must be US Citizens, at least 18 years old, have a 3.2+ GPA, be returning to their academic program upon completion of the internship, have at least 60 credit hours earned at time of application, and be able to work full-time during the 10-week internship in-person either in DC or assigned overseas post. Interns are paid $17.51 / hour.
