The Volcker Alliance G2U Initiative has partnered with Equal Justice Works and the PSLF Coalition to provide a briefing on recent significant changes to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. The briefing will provide a detailed summary of the most recent updates to PSLF and outline how current government employees can apply for Temporary Expanded Public Service Loan Forgiveness from the Department of Education. Registration Open for the Foreign Service Officer Test

Spring Registration CLOSES Thursday, June 2, 2022

The Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) is an important part of the State Department Foreign Service Officer selection process, covering the job knowledge, English expression, and situational judgement necessary to work as a Foreign Service Officer. The test is offered several times throughout the year. To be eligible, candidates must be a US citizen on the date the candidate submits the registration package; at least 20 and no older than 59 years of age, and available for worldwide assignments, including DC. In a policy change, everyone who applies and completes the FSOT will move forward to the Qualifications Evaluation Panel.

Critical Language Scholarship Virtual Online Language Learning Program

CLS Spark helps US undergraduate students learn Arabic, Chinese or Russian through online classes and activities facilitated by native speakers at a host institution abroad. Designed to leverage best practices in online language learning developed during the pandemic, CLS Spark provides US students the access and opportunity to start their language learning journeys even when these critical languages may not be offered on their campuses or when they may have responsibilities that limit their ability to go overseas. Candidates must be US Citizens, enrolled and working towards an associate's or bachelor's degree in an accredited US degree-granting program, at least 18 years old by September 1, 2022, and NOT an alum of a CLS Program.

US Congress – Republic of Korea National Assembly Exchange Program

The US Congress–Republic of Korea National Assembly Exchange Program is a fully-funded initiative to broaden the perspectives of Korean and American young people on the legislative process; the history of US-Korean relations; and current economic, political, and security aspects of the bilateral relationship. The program also provides participants with firsthand experience of each other’s people and culture, creating opportunities to form long-lasting personal contacts. The US delegation consists of 8 American students/young adults, between the ages of 21 and 27, recommended by a member of Congress. The Committee on Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Unification of the Republic of Korea National Assembly nominates and selects the Korean students. Participation is fully funded by the US Department of State and the National Assembly. Note: this program is not geared for US applicants who have already had significant opportunities to travel or live in Korea.
