Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program

Deadline: Monday, January 31, 2022 

Operated by the Partnership for Public Service, the Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program places students with critically needed skills into paid internships with the US Federal Government. It aims to develop a diverse pool of talent for two agencies.  Selected participants will receive a 10-12 week summer internship with a federal agency, $4,000 per student to cover stipend and other expenses, and professional development sessions, including an orientation and networking events throughout the summer. Candidates must be US citizens at the time of application submission and currently enrolled at an accredited educational institution; undergraduates must be current second-year students/sophomores and above.

Civic Digital Fellowship

Deadline: Monday, January 31, 2022 

The Civic Digital Fellowship is a technology internship program for students to solve pressing problems in federal agencies. Fellows work at the intersection of technology and public service. Students work 40 hours/week over the summer and receive a competitive stipend, one-on-one mentorship, and access to professional and community programming. Fellows can be enrolled in a community college, an undergraduate program, a graduate program, or be recent graduates.

American Economics Association Summer Training and Scholarship Program

Deadline: Monday, January 31, 2022 

The AEA Summer Training Program and Scholarship Program seeks to increase diversity in the field of economics by preparing talented undergraduates for doctoral programs in economics and related disciplines. Students develop and solidify technical skills in preparation for the rigors of graduate studies. All students receive 2 months of intensive training in microeconomics, math, econometrics and research methods with leading faculty. At 3 credits per class, students have the opportunity to earn 12 credits.

Scoville Peace Fellowship

Fall 2022, Deadline: January 7, 2022

The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship provides recent college alumni with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of peace and security. Individuals to spend six to nine months in Washington. Supported by a salary, the fellows serve as full-time junior staff members at the participating organization of their choice.
